Stephen Ministry

Leaders: Jackie Thomas and Deb Tank

Who May Need a Stephen Minister?

 People who are dealing with:

*Parent/child Communications

*Family frustrations and challenges

*Loss of a loved one

*Separation or Divorce

*Homebound issues

*Parenting of newborns

*Self-esteem struggles

*Loss of a job

*Financial setbacks

*Faith issues

*Life changes and other concerns

How Does It Work?         When someone requests a Stephen Minister, our Stephen Ministry Leader will meet with that person, explain what Stephen Ministry is, and help determine whether Stephen Ministry is the kind of care that person needs. The Leader then works with the other Stephen Ministry Leaders to then match that person with one of our available Stehen Ministers. The Stephen Minister will then contact that person and begin meeting with him/her for around one hour each week as long as the need is there. Everything a care receiver says to his/her Stephen Minister is kept strictly confidential.

The Stephen Minister doesn't try to solve problems; rather, he/she listens, cares, prays and helps the care receiver find his or her path to healing and wholeness.

Do you need a Stephen Minister or do you know someone who needs a Stephen Minister?   Please call the church office at (402)721-6158 and ask to speak to the Pastor.
